At our office we book you two appointments right away, your initial assessment (Day 1) and a follow up (Day 2). Our team will book these appointments with you.
On Day 1 our team will go thorough a history of what has been going on with your body in the past and now. There will be an explanation of what chiropractic is and how it might relate or be different to your experiences with other practitioners. The doctor will then do an assessment and an exam.
On Day 2 your Report of Findings from Day 1 will be reviewed with you and then your first adjustment will be performed. The doctor will also review with you all of the financial and care plan details; such as insurance coverage, number and length of appointments, and any other questions you may have.
You will need your Manitoba Health Card and your insurance information including dollar amount limit and percentage of coverage.
We can direct bill most insurance companies. You will just need to have your insurance information with you at your first appointment.
No, in fact it feels like Dr. Kaileigh is doing very little. People often notice the shifts within 24 hours of the adjustment. Typically pain is reduced after each adjustment, and sometimes there is an improvement after just one!
Sometimes people feel slight soreness in their back the day after an appointment, this is from our bodies adjusting to the new alignment and it may be uncomfortable at first.
We recommend someone sees a chiropractor if they are experiencing any symptoms like neck pain, back pain, headaches, sciatica, tension in between shoulder blades, shoulder pain, knee pain, dizziness, numbness or tingling. Also there are non-symptom based ways to tell if you need to see an upper cervical-focused chiropractor. If you are noticing that your posture is off; tilting or rotation either in the head, shoulders, hips, or a difference in leg length, you may have a neck misalignment. You may also need to see us if you have jaw tension, clicking or grinding when you turn your neck, feel the need to pop your back constantly, or feeling a difference in range of motion when you turn your neck or back a certain way. Let's check your spine!
We ask that you please bring or wear socks for your adjustment and do not worry about the type of footwear as we ask that you remove your shoes at the front door. Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in. Short dresses and skirts are not recommended as you will be on and off the table, changing your laying position, and may be recommended stretches. You will be asked to take off jackets, hoodies, belts, and jewelry and we ask that your hair is up off your neck. We also ask that cell phones are off or on silent, and that you have gone to the washroom before your appointment time.
