FAQ

What do I need for my first appointment?

You will need your Manitoba Health Card and your insurance information (including amounts and percentage of coverage), where applicable.

Does LivChiro direct bill my insurance?

You bet we do! Anything to make your life a little easier. You will just need to have your insurance information with you at your first appointment or ensure it is included in your Intake Form. See Lyndsay at the front when you arrive and she will set up everything you need.

What do I need to wear for my adjustment?

We ask that you please bring or wear socks for your adjustment, do not worry about the type of footwear as you will be removing your shoes. Dresses and skirts are not recommended as you will be hopping on and off tables and changing your laying position. If you have any knee injuries that will be examined then we recommend wearing or bringing shorts.

Does it hurt?

No, in fact it feels like Dr. Kaileigh is doing very little. People often notice the shifts within 24 hours of the adjustment.  Typically pain is reduced after each adjustment, and often there is an improvement after just one!

Sometimes people feel slight soreness in their back the day after an appointment, this is from the postural muscles adjusting on the opposite side of where the pain usually exists.

How do I know if I need an alignment?

We recommend someone sees a chiropractor if they are experiencing any symptoms like neck pain, back pain, headaches, sciatica, tension in between shoulder blades, shoulder pain, knee pain, dizziness, numbness or tingling, anxiety, depression, or depressed immune system.  Also there are non-symptom based ways to tell if you need to see an upper cervical-focused chiropractor. If you are noticing that your posture is off; tilting or rotation either in the head, shoulders, hips, or a difference in leg length, you may have a neck misalignment. You may also need to see us if you have jaw tension, clicking or grinding when you turn your neck, feel the need to pop your back constantly, or feeling a difference in range of motion when you turn your neck or back a certain way. Let's check your spine!

What can I expect on my first visits?

Your initial assessment is set up as a Day 1 and a Day 2. Our team will book these appointments with you.

On Day 1 our team will go thorough a history of what has been going on with your body in the past and now.

There will be an explanation of what chiropractic is and how it might relate or be different to your experiences with other practitioners.

The Doctor will then do an exam and assessment.

On Day 2 your Report of Findings from Day 1 will be reviewed with you and then an adjustment will be performed.

As the last step, our team will review with you all of the financials and care plan details; such as insurance coverage, number and length of appointments, and any other questions you may have.
